an edit of Malcolm Browne's original photograph... June 11, 1963
Even just the thought of this, as I've known of it for years, gives me chills and makes me tear up. Same with sit-ins during the segregation times. How people rebelled once upon a time is... magical, almost. I don't think a whole lot of people nowadays would stand up for what's right like they did back then.
It's all Facebook posts and memes now.
As if they think... sharing and liking posts on the Internet is going to make a difference in the world.
But by hell, when I'm rich and famous, I will be that one admin or celebrity that says, "For every 'blank amount of likes/shares,' I'll donate 'blank amount of money to a certain charity.'" I swear I will.
I'll admit I've got a lot of pride.
But I never inflate my own ego. People like that irritate me.
Well, when someone is egotistic, they try making things up to make themselves look better than they really are.
An ego... is really just... I'm not sure how to explain it. xD
I felt to make it because I know so many people who were not alive then only know the photo from an album cover.
This is great though.
And thank you.
